How I can help you
Having a BSc (Hons) in Human Psychology and a special interest in psychological disorders,  I am aware of how an integrative approach is extremely beneficial in dealing across the various spectrum of anxiety disorders. For instance a person reporting a specific phobia such as speaking in public would be perfect to be placed on a course of CBT whereas an individual experiencing interpersonal relationship problems would benefit from a psychodynamic approach which explores the root cause of the difficulties. Psychodynamic theory assumes that often the problem the client brings to therapy is recall of a past event, the memory of which has been triggered by a current occurrence in his or her life.

It has become apparent in my experience that once people discover the root cause of their anxiety and any underlying issues present, they are more empowered to overcome that anxiety rather than viewing it as an intrinsic problem within themselves or apportioning blame to others.
